Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • We use third party modules which may not be fully accessible so we will also include video subtitles or transcripts and alternative versions of documents that are accessible for all users.
  • Some images may have missing or incorrect alternative text, we regularly review the site for these and update them where missing.
  • Some tables may have missing or incorrect captions, we regularly review the site for these and update them where missing.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

  • Some large or complicated PDFs and other documents which are not essential to our services pose a disproportionate burden to us however where this is the case, we have provided details of how you can contact us to obtain the information in an accessible format or we have provided an accessible text-only document for you to view the information. We’ve assessed the cost of fixing these issues and we believe that doing so at present would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We will make another assessment, in January 2025.
  • The digital maps on our websites are exempt from the regulations as they are not intended for navigational purposes however where this is the case, we have provided details of how you can contact us to obtain the information in an accessible format.
  • We use Issuu Flipbook modules to display some of our literature and ‘Residents News’ digital magazines. We are aware this third party module link is not fully accessible and so wherever these are used we also provide an accessible PDF version (that can be downloaded) with the same information.
  • We may use Twitter/X RSS feeds which have accessibility issues. We have reduced how often these show on our websites. We link to all our social media platforms on our website footer.
  • PDFs and other documents published before 23 September 2018 are exempt from the regulations however where this is the case, we have provided details of how you can contact us to obtain the information in an accessible format or we have provided an accessible text-only document for you to view the information. Any updated versions of the documents will be published in an accessible format
