Social Housing Anti-Racism Pledge logoAt Fairhive Homes, we stand firmly against racism in all its forms and have committed to a zero-tolerance policy.

We are determined to play our part in removing inequality from within our society. By joining the Social Housing Anti-Racism Pledge (SHARP), we want to demonstrate our dedication to promoting equality, being open to diversity and inclusion, challenging discrimination wherever it occurs, and working to create an environment where everyone is treated with respect and fairness.

We are committed to creating working environments and cultures where every individual can feel safe, experience a sense of belonging, and is empowered to achieve their full potential.

To achieve this, we commit to:

  • Listening and Learning: Engaging with our colleagues, residents and the wider community, to understand their experiences and perspectives on race and inequality.
  • Taking Action: Ensuring anti-racism is at the core of our policies, practices, and decision-making processes.
  • Promoting Equality of Opportunity: Ensuring equality of opportunity in employment and resident representation for everyone in the communities we serve; irrespective of race or ethnicity
  • Driving Change: Working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to advocate for systemic change in the housing sector.

Racism has no place in our community, nor workplace. By joining SHARP, we are not only taking a stand but also taking responsibility. Together, we are working on building a future where everyone feels valued, included, and empowered to thrive.
