Below we have some frequently asked questions but if you need further support please contact us.
How do I apply?
Applying is quick and simple. For our roles, you’ll need to upload your CV along with a supporting statement where you can tell us more about yourself and why you’re interested in the position.
You will be asked to answer a few short questions depending on the role and complete an equal opportunity monitoring form, as equality, diversity and inclusion are important to us.
If a role catches your eye, simply click on the advert, read the full job description and supporting documents, then enter your email address and click ‘Apply Now’.
You’ll be asked to create an account (this only takes a few minutes), after which you’ll be able to complete and submit your application.
How long does the process take?
We aim to keep the recruitment process as quick and straightforward as possible, although the timeline may vary depending on the role.
All adverts include a closing date for applications, and interviews usually take place soon after the closing date.
Please keep an eye on your emails as that is how we will contact you, particularly as we may invite candidates to interview before the closing date if their application stands out.
Can I save my application and finish later?
Yes, you can save your application and return to it later. However, it must be completed and submitted before the closing date, otherwise it will not be considered.
Who can I contact for more information?
If you have any questions about a role or the recruitment process, please contact our recruitment team.
How long will it take to hear back?
The job advert will normally include a closing date for applications. Interviews are usually arranged shortly after this date, so you should hear from us soon after the closing date.
If you attend an interview, we will explain the next steps and expected timelines during the process.
Can I update my application after submitting it?
Yes, you can do this by logging into your candidate onboarding portal, however it needs to be done before the closing date.
How do I know if my application has been received?
You will receive an automatic confirmation email once your application has been submitted successfully.
If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us at recruitment@fairhive.co.uk.
Will I receive feedback if my application was unsuccessful?
Due to the high number of applications we receive, we’re unfortunately unable to provide feedback at the application stage.
However, if you attend an interview, we will always inform you of the outcome and can provide feedback if you request it.
What should I do if I need support during the application or assessment process?
If you require any support or reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please contact us at recruitment@fairhive.co.uk or simply respond to the email inviting you for interview.
We are committed to making our recruitment process accessible and inclusive, and we are always happy to discuss ways to support you so you can demonstrate your skills and experience.
How do you support neurodivergent candidates during the interview process?
We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible recruitment process for everyone. We recognise that candidates may have different needs, including those who are neurodivergent.
If you require any adjustments during the interview process, we encourage you to let us know when you apply or when you are invited to interview. We will always do our best to accommodate reasonable adjustments so you can feel comfortable and perform at your best.
Examples of adjustments may include sharing interview questions in advance, allowing extra time for assessments, providing a quiet interview environment, or offering the option of a virtual interview.
Our aim is to ensure that all candidates have a fair opportunity to demonstrate their skills and experience.
What is the interview process like?
We aim to make interviews as relaxed and welcoming as possible so you can feel comfortable and showcase your skills and personality.
The interview will usually begin with introductions and a short overview of the role and Fairhive as an organisation.
We will then explain the structure of the interview. If you’ve been asked to prepare anything in advance, we will normally discuss this first before moving on to our interview questions.
Interviews are a two-way conversation, so you’ll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the role or working at Fairhive.
At the end of the interview, we’ll explain the next steps in the process.
Do you offer work experience or apprenticeship opportunities?
Yes, we do. Fairhive offers apprenticeship opportunities across a range of areas within the organisation.
You can find out more about our apprenticeship opportunities and current vacancies on our website.
There isn’t a suitable role for me right now. Can I register for job alerts?
Yes. Once you create an account on our recruitment system, you can register your interest and sign up for job alerts so you are notified when new opportunities become available.
