Following Pride Month, we are continuing the conversation and inviting you to take part in a free, welcoming and informative session designed to strengthen understanding and inclusion across our communities.

On Thursday 16 July, from 1pm to 2pm, we will be joined by an external speaker from Pride in Leadership, Claire, who is a dedicated equity, diversity and inclusion champion working to research and break down the barriers LGBTQ+ people face.

You can attend in person in our Boardroom in Aylesbury or join online from home, depending on what suits you best.

This session, focused on understanding LGBTQ+ lives, stories and history, as well as how to be a supportive ally, will give you the opportunity to learn more about LGBTQ+ experiences in a relaxed and respectful environment.

During the session, you will be introduced to LGBTQ+ identities and language in a clear and accessible way, hear about key moments in history and how attitudes have evolved, and gain insight into what life can be like for LGBTQ+ people today. You will also explore common concerns, such as using the right terminology, and learn simple, practical ways to show support and be a great ally in your day-to-day interactions.

No prior knowledge is needed to attend. All that is asked is a willingness to listen, reflect and engage. The session offers a supportive space where you can ask questions, learn at your own pace and take part in open conversation.
