We are proud to have been recognised in a new national guide showcasing best practice in supporting residents living in low energy homes.

Published by the Future Homes Hub, Renter Customer Journey for Low Energy Homes: Hints & Tips for Landlords brings together examples from housing providers across the country, highlighting effective approaches to helping residents understand and get the most from modern, energy-efficient homes.

We feature in the guide's section on supporting residents to develop beneficial lifestyle habits in low energy homes, the guide highlights our approach of bringing together lettings, sales and our repairs teams before residents move into new homes to ensure consistent messaging and support. It also references development of our 'Your Home' video guides, designed to help our residents confidently use new technologies in the most efficient way.

Alex Monro, Head of Development Delivery, said:

"We're pleased to have contributed to this important piece of guidance and to see our approach recognised alongside other examples of best practice from across the housing sector. As low energy homes become increasingly important, it's vital that residents feel confident using the technologies in their homes and understand how small changes in daily habits can help them maximise comfort, energy efficiency and sustainability. Clear communication and ongoing support are key to making that happen."

The Future Homes Hub guide has been developed to help landlords support residents through every stage of their journey in low energy homes, it emphasises the importance of education, practical guidance and consistent communication as the housing sector prepares for the Future Homes Standard and wider adoption of low carbon technologies.

Being included in the publication highlights our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable homes and ensuring residents receive the support they need to make the most of them.

By continuing to invest in resident engagement and support, we hope to support many more residents transition confidently to more sustainable living while contributing to the future of low energy housing.
