True to our mission to provide Homes for Living and Communities for Life we are looking at ways to improve your homes and make them more sustainable. We are currently focused on making your homes warmer and more comfortable, whilst also considering how we can offer the same benefits to future generations and protect the environment for the wellbeing of our planet.

The works will be completely free to all households and may even help in reducing energy bills. Every home is unique, so the works that are needed may be completed within a week or take several weeks. We will be sure to inform and support you through this. We want you to be a part of this journey and enjoy the benefits it will bring.

What is Social Housing Decarbonisation?

Like many other countries around the world, the UK Government has committed to achieving Net Zero by 2050. This means reducing greenhouse gas emissions to as close to zero as possible to combat the effects of climate change.

Fairhive was successful in bidding for one of these programmes: the ‘Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund’ or ‘SHDF’. This funding is supplementing internal budgets that we have dedicated to planned energy efficiency improvements that will provide immediate benefits.

For the first wave of the project we are partnering with UNITED LIVING to deliver these enhancements and ensure a positive impact on our community.

We aim to upgrade the homes part of this project by 2025 but we are looking to apply for more funding in the next couple of years so we can improve further homes.
